Default when do I get to choose?

I was wondering, when do I get to choose which faction to join (kurzick or luxon)? I am really curious because I am eager to get new armor for my character because I think the kurzick armors look pretty cool IMO. Right now I am stuck and still trying to beat the 4th story mission where I have to fight the 4 celestial beast -_- (any tips appreciated). Also, at the moment I am in a Luxon guild and I was wondering, does that affect my choices to choose which side in Role playing mode?

Thanks in advance.

You don't really 'choose' which side that you belong to, it's more of a choosing which side's missions you do.

As for when you actually get either Kurzick or Luxon faction, you get to choose after you do the Sunjiang District mission. Then you can do "Travel to House Zu Heltzer" and/or "Travel to Cavalon".

oh man I still have 4 missions away . oh well looks like I am going to have to buy the max armor I can for now. I was planning on saving gold for the kurzick or luxon armors, but looks like that is going to have to wait. Thanks for the reply.

oh and one more question.... since I have already completed 3 missions, why does it say i have only completed 1/13 cantha missions? is that normal or is it a glitch? I didn't get masters on the 2nd and 3rd mission if that affects it.

For the title to register a 'Completed Mission' you must have the master's reward too.

You only get a completed mission "tick" if you have completed the related bonus\masters requirements as well as the mission

So, "bonus" is actually not a bonus but the measure of a fulfilled mission. :/

The bonus is a bonus. It is not required to complete the mission or the story. You get a little extra reward for completing the bonus/masters portion of the missions. These rewards can include: skill points, extra xp, money, a nifty marker on your map and progression toward the Protector of (instert contenent here) Title.

To the OP: Your Guild Leader can choose the overall faction for your guild. You do not have to follow that particular path however. You can collect faction for either side. You can only trade or interact with most NPC's town if you have more faction for the side that controls the town you are in. For instance if the Luxons control the town you can't interact with the merchant in that town if you have more Kurzik faction. Once you trade in faction for one side you lose an equal amount of faction from the other side. It is best to only work for one side at a time.
